At Innovations Leadership Academy, our K–8 academic program is designed to build strong foundations while developing critical thinkers, problem-solvers, creators, and future leaders.
With a maximum of 14 students per teacher, students can receive the individual attention, support, and academic challenge they need to grow.
OUR ACADEMIC APPROACH
Different Approaches. One Goal: Student Success.
At Innovations Leadership Academy, learning is designed around the needs of each student. Our academic approach combines Blended Learning and Station Rotation to provide teacher-led instruction, technology-supported learning, collaboration, hands-on experiences, and targeted academic support.
Blended Learning
Students learn through a combination of teacher-led instruction, technology-based learning, independent practice, and collaborative work. This allows students to work at an appropriate pace while teachers provide guidance, support, and academic challenge.
Station Rotation
Students rotate through purposeful learning experiences including small-group instruction, intervention, technology, STEM and science exploration, independent practice, and collaborative projects. Teachers can use these rotations to provide more focused attention to individual student needs.
The ILA Approach
By combining both models with classes of no more than 14 students per teacher, ILA creates a flexible and personalized learning environment. Students receive targeted support while developing critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, technology skills, leadership, and independence.

Literacy & Language Arts
Students build strong reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, and comprehension skills while learning to communicate ideas clearly and confidently.
Mathematics
Students develop number sense, problem-solving, reasoning, fluency, and real-world application skills through instruction designed to build both confidence and understanding.
STEM + Technology
Students engage with science, engineering, robotics, digital tools, and technology-supported learning through hands-on projects, problem-solving, creativity, and exploration.
LEARNING BEYOND THE CORE
Preparing Students to Create, Lead, and Succeed.
Entrepreneurship + Financial Literacy
Students learn how ideas can become opportunities. Through age-appropriate projects and experiences, students explore entrepreneurship, financial literacy, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and foundational business concepts.
Leadership + Character Development
Students are given opportunities to develop responsibility, confidence, communication, teamwork, decision-making, and goal-setting skills while learning what it means to lead and positively contribute to their community.
Real-World + Experiential Learning
Learning extends beyond the classroom through hands-on projects, guest speakers, community experiences, educational field trips, cultural opportunities, and other experiences that help students connect what they learn in school to the world around them.

At Innovations Leadership Academy, every student’s academic journey is unique. Through small class sizes, ongoing assessment, targeted instruction, and personalized support, teachers will use multiple sources of information to understand student needs, monitor progress, and provide the right level of challenge and support.
14 Students Maximum
Small classes allow teachers to know their students, provide more individualized attention, identify learning needs earlier, and build stronger student-teacher relationships.
Growth-Focused Assessment
ILA plans to use NWEA MAP Growth, classroom assessments, student work, and teacher observations to monitor academic progress, identify learning gaps, and help guide instructional decisions.
Intervention+Enrichment
Students needing additional support will receive targeted intervention, while students ready for greater challenges will have opportunities for enrichment, acceleration, and deeper learning.
